Jennifer Maggio is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Life of a Single Mom^®. She is a 5-time author, national speaker, and international single parenting subject matter expert. As a former homeless single mom, she knows well the challenges faced by mothers and children. She was an 11-time Circle of Excellence award winner in Corporate America, securing more than $55 million in accounts for a Fortune 500 company, before leaving to launch our national nonprofit. Maggio has been named one of the Top 10 Most Influential Leaders in America, an Influential Woman in Business, a Women’s Legislative Hero of Excellence, and much more. She also founded Single Mom University®, one of the largest life skills classrooms in the U.S. for single mothers, and has been featured in countless media venues, including The New York Times, The 700 Club, Daystar Television, and others. Meet Our Key Staff

Jennifer Cook is the Accounting Manager. She processes payroll, handles data retention, accounts payable & receivable, and front-end reception duties. A former single mother for many years, Jennifer understands the challenges women and children can sometimes face. She joined the Unstuck team as a volunteer in 2012, prior to full-time employment. Prior work experience includes extensive knowledge of Quickbooks, payroll processing, multi-line phone system, data entry, customer service, and retail management. During her time on the team, she has been an integral part of the planning and implementation of the annual fundraiser and national single mother’s conference. She is a graduate of River Parishes College.

Ashton Maggio Turcios oversees Relationships and Program Management for the organization. She is currently a licensed master social worker with a strong skill set in business acumen. Her duties include oversight of program implementation, strategic planning, donor relationships, partnership development, and counseling, among others. Ashton holds a bachelor’s degree in business and a Master of Social Work from Louisiana State University. Previously, she served as a fundraiser for a major university and has extensive case management and counseling experience, focusing primarily on women and children, including utilization of ABA therapy. As a former single mom, she is dedicated to fostering positive change in the lives of women and children, as well as the community as a whole through both direct service and advocacy.

Kedra Preston is the Branding & Communications Manager. She is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising and a minor in Visual Arts. She went on to pursue her second Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from Louisiana State University and graduated in May 2017. Kedra has remained in the top 7.5% at both ULL and LSU. She began working with Unstuck Ministries through an LSU class project where her primary goal was to come up with ways to continue the growth of Unstuck through appropriate branding. Building on the work done for the project, paired with her background in advertising, she has continued to bring creativity, world class graphic design, and management of social media, website, and print branding.

Nicole Miller is the Project Manager for Unstuck Ministries, responsible for the execution of a variety of projects and events at the local and national level annually that serve thousands. She is a mother of four who brings a wealth of experience and compassion for women and children to the role. Her skill set includes sales, curriculum development, event planning, copywriting, data analysis, and case management. She is an author to the children’s book, Little Arrows, Big Faith. Her extensive knowledge of our major programming, coupled with her strategic thinking and data evaluation, has expanded programs by 12% over the last 24 months.
